Abstract

The article discusses the prevalence of rumors in online social networks and the need for effective mitigation strategies. It introduces FLACORM, a method that combines fuzzy logic for stance prediction with ant colony optimization to identify and block top rumor spreaders. The approach considers the semantic and contextual features of rumors, user perspectives, and sentiments to accurately predict user stances. The proposed method is evaluated on real-world datasets, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing rumor spread compared to existing techniques.
