Abstract

The article investigates the properties of satin weaved sunn hemp fibre and cashew nut shell biosilica epoxy composites, focusing on their flame retardancy, load-bearing capabilities, and thermal stability. The study begins with an introduction to the advantages of natural fibre composites and the specific properties of sunn hemp fibre. It then delves into the preparation of biosilica from cashew nut shells and the fabrication of the composites. The results and discussions section presents detailed findings on the composites' flammability, mechanical properties, thermal conductivity, and wear resistance. Notably, the addition of biosilica significantly improves the composites' flame retardancy and thermal stability, making them suitable for various engineering applications.
