Abstract

The article delves into the static analysis of power-law functionally graded (P-FG) plates using an integral quasi-3D shear deformation theory. It considers material imperfections and examines their impact on the static response of FG plates. The research presents novel findings on the influence of imperfections on the displacements and stresses of FG plates. The study compares the results with other theories and highlights the importance of considering stretching effects and imperfections in the analysis of FG plates. The article concludes with recommendations for future work on FG materials with defects.
