The chapter discusses the challenges non-verbal individuals face in communication and proposes a protocol to promote empathy towards users of eye-tracking devices. An experimental intervention was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the protocol, involving an eye-tracking set-up and a questionnaire adapted to the specific context.
