Abstract

This chapter introduces the β stabilisers for titanium. The powder preparation for selective laser melting (SLM) of titanium-tantalum (TiTa) is detailed. The powder prepared is then characterised and described. The optimising criteria and optimised process parameters for TiTa is also presented in this chapter.
