Abstract

This article explores the foundational processes underlying the formation of cognitive systems, proposing that these mechanisms are deeply embedded in chemical and physical interactions. It investigates how molecular networks evolve from simple chemical reactions into complex behaviors characteristic of cognition, ultimately giving rise to human consciousness. The Dynamic Kinetic Stability (DKS) framework is used to understand self-organization, adaptability, and information processing within molecular networks, bridging the gap between the physical and mental realms. The article examines the interplay between sensory data, cognitive biases, and emotional states in shaping awareness, emphasizing the dynamic and subjective nature of these processes. It also delves into the evolutionary and biological mechanisms underlying cognition, tracing the pathways through which complex mental states emerge from simpler processes. The text discusses the cognitive systems of living organisms, highlighting the continuity of adaptive processes from ancient cells to modern multicellular life. It explores the cellular basis of cognitive mechanisms, from chemical processes to consciousness, and the role of Dynamic Kinetic Stability in the emergence of mentality. The article concludes by discussing the relationship between cognitive systems and their environment, mediated by sensor activity, and the variations in cognitive abilities across species.
