Abstract

The article introduces a groundbreaking Frequency-Domain Time Reversal Electromagnetic Wave (FD-TR-EMW) imaging method tailored for detecting subtle defects in composite materials. By integrating Time Reversal Operator (TRO) processing, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), and the TR-MUSICDORT imaging algorithm, this method significantly enhances focusing accuracy and noise suppression. The study validates the method's effectiveness through simulation and experimental results, demonstrating its ability to detect defects with dimensions as small as 0.027 and localization error within 0.1. The article also explores key influencing parameters such as antenna element spacing, array distance, and defect characteristics, providing a comprehensive analysis of the method's robustness and adaptability. This innovative approach offers a high-precision, scalable solution for real-time, field-adaptable nondestructive evaluation of composite materials, making it a valuable contribution to the field of nondestructive testing.
