Abstract

The article delves into the complex interplay between abortion motivations, stigmatization, and social perceptions of women who choose to terminate their pregnancies. It highlights the role of moral outrage and dehumanization in shaping these perceptions, with a specific focus on the Italian context. The research aims to understand how different motivations for abortion—whether deemed 'good' or 'bad'—affect the severity of hostile behaviors directed towards women who decide to abort. The study employs a rigorous experimental design to investigate these relationships, contributing valuable insights into the social dynamics surrounding abortion and women's reproductive rights.
