Abstract

Some structures contain fluids internally. One of the examples is a fluid tank. When such structure is subjected to dynamic loading, FSI occurs for the system. Hydrodynamic ram is one of the phenomena as a projectile penetrates into a structure such as a fuel tank. This chapter investigated the dynamic responses of composite structures containing different amounts of water while the structures were impacted by mechanical loading [1].
