Abstract

The chapter focuses on developing a fully integrated DC-DC converter capable of handling a high input voltage of 400 V, addressing the challenges of component quality and parasitic losses at high voltages. It introduces a topology that maximizes dielectric energy storage and minimizes sidewall coupling losses, achieving high power density and efficiency. The chapter also highlights the custom design of high-voltage capacitors and drivers, as well as an improved control circuit for excellent step response and reduced ripple. Comparisons with state-of-the-art converters demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed design.
