Abstract

The study investigates the potential of fulvic acid-releasing chitosan nanoparticles (Ch-FANPs) to enhance rice growth and drought tolerance. Through hydroponic and soil-based experiments, researchers found that Ch-FANPs significantly improved rice plant growth, including shoot and root development, even under drought stress conditions. The nanoparticles also enhanced photosynthetic activity and antioxidant defense mechanisms, suggesting a robust strategy to mitigate the negative impacts of drought on rice crops. The findings highlight the promising application of nanotechnology in agriculture to improve crop resilience and productivity under water-scarce conditions.
