Abstract

The article delves into the dynamic response of a protein-sandwich nanobeam system, focusing on the frequency shift caused by biomolecule adsorption. It employs both Timoshenko and Euler–Bernoulli beam models to analyze the effects of van der Waals interactions, geometric parameters, and thermal loads on the system's dynamic behavior. The study highlights the significant influence of shear deformation and rotary inertia on the frequency shift, demonstrating how these factors vary with changes in nanobeam dimensions, perforation parameters, and porosity. The results reveal that the presence of biomolecules, such as TMPRSS2 receptors and spike proteins, significantly impacts the bending response of the nanobeam. The article also explores the effects of compressive force and thermal load, showing how these factors contribute to the dynamic response. The integration of Morse and Lennard–Jones potentials for assessing van der Waals interactions enhances the accuracy of the analysis. The study concludes that the developed model is valuable for examining the dynamic interactions between biomolecules and nanobeam systems, with potential applications in biosensing and virus detection. The findings provide a deeper understanding of the system's dynamic behavior, highlighting the importance of considering multiple factors in the design and analysis of nanobeam-based resonators.
