Abstract

The article focuses on the development of gallium-based liquid metal flexible electronics, emphasizing the unique properties of gallium-based liquid metals such as high boiling point, electronic conductivity, and self-healing capabilities. It discusses the challenges of existing fabrication methods, including stirring-mold casting, microfluid control, and 3D printing. The authors introduce a new method using a solid–liquid phase transition at ambient temperature, which promises uniform and high-performance flexible electronics. The article includes detailed experimental procedures, theoretical models, and simulations, showcasing the potential of this innovative approach in various applications, including new energy, advanced manufacturing, and biomedical engineering.
