Abstract

The article delves into the latest advancements in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies, focusing on leading chatbots like ChatGPT and Bard. It also examines the international landscape of GenAI in education, discussing the stances, policies, and initiatives adopted by various regions. Notably, the European Union is cautiously embracing GenAI while prioritizing human-centric and trustworthy AI. In Asia, countries like Taiwan and Japan are proactively integrating GenAI into education, while China is developing homegrown solutions with strict regulations. African and Latin American countries are also exploring AI policies that could potentially address GenAI in education. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of monitoring GenAI's impact on human resource development and educational policies worldwide.
