Abstract

The article delves into the critical factors influencing the stability of reservoir bank slopes, particularly focusing on water level fluctuations (WLF) and the role of anchoring systems. It utilizes global sensitivity analysis (GSA) to identify key parameters that significantly impact the stability of both sandy and clay slopes. The study highlights the importance of WLF parameters, such as surface and groundwater levels, and demonstrates how anchoring systems can enhance slope stability. The analysis reveals that the sensitivity of certain parameters, like slope inclination and failure surface angle, increases significantly with the installation of anchors. The research also emphasizes the need for drainage solutions and regular monitoring to maintain slope stability. The findings from this study provide valuable insights into the mechanisms affecting slope stability and offer practical recommendations for enhancing the safety of reservoir bank slopes.
