Abstract

This chapter delves into the persistent global issue of traffic congestion, highlighting the inefficiencies of traditional fixed-time control systems. It introduces GATLIGHT, a deep reinforcement learning framework designed to adapt to dynamic traffic conditions in complex urban networks.
