Abstract

It discusses the residual mechanical properties of fire-damaged concrete and compares the performance of various retrofitting materials, including synthetic and natural fibers. The study emphasizes the environmental benefits of using natural fibers like jute, sisal, and bamboo, which are renewable and biodegradable. The article also explores the structural behavior of fire-damaged buildings strengthened with these materials and suggests areas for further research to enhance the sustainability and fire resistance of retrofitting materials.
