Abstract

The article delves into the intricate world of non-Hermitian quantum mechanics, focusing on the XY spin-1/2 system with real and imaginary magnetic fields. It explores the ground-state and thermal entanglements in this system, using concurrence as a measure of entanglement. The study reveals the influence of non-Hermitian terms on entanglement and uncovers peculiar properties of the system. The ground-state phase diagram is investigated, showing the conditions under which different ground states occur. The ground-state entanglement is analyzed in detail, highlighting the impact of anisotropic parameters and magnetic fields on entanglement. Thermal entanglement is also studied, demonstrating how temperature affects entanglement in the system. The mean-field theory is employed to approximate the magnetization and thermal entanglement, providing insights into the system's behavior under different conditions. The article concludes by summarizing the key findings and their implications for understanding non-Hermitian quantum systems.
