In diesem Kapitel werden Basisanforderungen an die Produktion, welche für Herstellung und Instandhaltung gleichermaßen gelten, erklärt. Im Vordergrund stehen dabei primär vorbereitende Tätigkeiten, also Anforderungen, die aus luftrechtlicher oder ökonomischer Perspektive erfüllt sein müssen, um mit Produktionsaktivitäten beginnen zu können. Hierzu zählt insbesondere die im ersten Unterabschnitt in Grundzügen dargestellte Herstellungs- und Instandhaltungsplanung ebenso wie die Bereitstellung der in Unterkapitel 6.2 ausführlich erklärten Arbeitskarten.
