New fuels, new fuel mixtures and, accordingly, new additives constantly enter the market. This increases the number of possible interactions between single components and thus the probability of undesirable chemical reactions increases, such as deposit formation inside the fuel injection system. Furthermore, mixtures of new fuels and old fuels with often yet unknown mixing effects can interact with the numerous components within the fuel leading parts in a vehicle, such as fuel feed pump, fuel line, fuel filter, high pressure pump, high pressure fuel lines, the rail, and the injector.
