Abstract

The article delves into the development of an S-scheme junction catalyst for efficient CO2 photoreduction by bonding copper(II) complexes onto K-doped polymeric carbon nitride via microwave heating. This innovative approach enhances the photocatalytic activity and stability of the catalyst, achieving a high CO yield under simulated sunlight. The study highlights the importance of microwave-assisted amidation in creating a strong covalent bond interface, which promotes efficient charge transfer and separation. The results demonstrate the potential of this novel catalytic system for practical applications in CO2 reduction and renewable energy.
