Abstract

Superabsorbent hydrogel (SAH) as prepared by polymerizing of acrylic acid/acrylate with a crosslinker to form hydrogel is used as an internal curing aid for cement hydration. Different SAH additives as an internal curing aid for cement hydration in accelerated conditions were studied in comparison to a water-cured blank cement paste sample.
