Abstract

Hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets (HFLTSs), one of the extensions of the hesitant fuzzy sets, are used to deal with several possible linguistic values or richer expressions than a single term for an alternative, variable, etc. In this paper, we develop a new method called hesitant fuzzy linguistic Linear Programming Technique for Multidimensional Analysis of Preference (LINMAP), which combines the HFLTSs with LINMAP method. By the method, we can get the attributes weights and ideal solution. Furthermore, other generalizations of the method are provided in detail. A practical example is provided to show that our method is very effective in solving multi-criteria decision making problems with hesitant fuzzy linguistic information. Comparative analyses with TOPSIS method are also furnished to show the advantages of the proposed method.
