Abstract

The article investigates the use of Se x S 1− x cathodes in all-solid-state lithium–sulfur batteries, focusing on their superior reaction kinetics and improved electrochemical performance. By doping selenium into sulfur cathodes, the authors achieve enhanced electronic conductivity and capacity utilization, leading to significantly improved lithium-ion diffusion coefficients and discharge capacities. The study demonstrates that the optimal selenium content is 20% (mol), resulting in a lithium-ion diffusion coefficient approximately twice that of conventional sulfur cathodes. The Se 0.2 S 0.8 @AC cathodes exhibit excellent rate performance and long-term cycling stability, making them a promising candidate for high-rate all-solid-state lithium–sulfur batteries. The research provides valuable insights into the application of selenium-doped sulfur cathodes, offering an effective method for achieving high-performance batteries.
