Abstract

The article delves into the production of holocellulases by filamentous fungi for the hydrolysis of energy cane and other sugarcane varieties, emphasizing their potential in sustainable bioenergy production. It discusses the composition of sugarcane biomass, the screening of fungi for holocellulase production, and the evaluation of enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic residues. The study highlights the effectiveness of fungi like Mycothermus thermophilus and Trichoderma reesei RP698 in producing a diverse range of enzymes, making them promising candidates for industrial applications in biofuel production.
