Abstract

The healthcare industry has seen significant growth in the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, with the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) aiming to enhance healthcare through economical and customized approaches. IoMT covers crucial areas such as disease prevention, health assessments, and medical condition detection. The global market size of IoMT is expected to expand significantly by 2028, driven by innovations in medical technology and the increased use of wearable sensors. The article introduces a novel cryptographic approach called Homomorphic Multi-Party Computation (HMPC) to address the challenges of privacy and security in IoMT data processing. This approach allows for the homomorphic encryption of patient data, enabling secure processing on cloud servers without compromising data confidentiality. The HMPC scheme provides computational outsourcing, simultaneous confidentiality for both doctors and patients, and an efficient non-interactive system. It also offers provable security based on the hardness assumptions of the Decisional Small Polynomial Ratio (DSPR) and Decisional Ring Learning With Errors (DRLWE) problems. The article concludes by highlighting the practicality and efficiency of the HMPC scheme compared to state-of-the-art methods, making it suitable for real-time applications in healthcare.
