Abstract

The article discusses the hygrothermal vibration control of cross-ply magneto-viscoelastic beams resting on Kerr’s foundations. It explores the dynamic behavior of these beams under environmental conditions, incorporating advanced deformation theories and magnetostrictive materials. The study highlights the effects of environmental factors, geometrical parameters, and feedback control on the vibration behavior of the beams. The results show that the vibration frequency decreases with increasing temperature and moisture concentration, while the deflection increases. The article also compares the accuracy of different deformation theories and concludes that the refined exponential shear deformation beam theory (REXBT) provides more accurate results than the exponential shear deformation beam theory (EXBT).
