The Euro 7 emissions standard in its final form fell short of expectations. The long legislative debate made it difficult for suppliers of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems to adapt their developments in line with demand. In the interview, Dr. Georg Hüthwohl, Managing Director of Albonair, assesses the final version of the emissions standard and shows what consequences it has for a company like Albonair.
Dr. Georg Hüthwohl, studied mechanical engineering with a focus on combustion engines at RWTH Aachen University. He also completed a doctorate in thermodynamics there. He began his career in 1985 as a team leader for exhaust gas treatment at FEV Motorentechnik. In 1995, he moved to the management team of HJS Fahrzeugtechnik as development director. By 2000, he had become managing director of Purem GmbH, a role that he held for eight years, before being appointed managing director of Albonair GmbH in 2008.
