The path leading towards the most efficient hybrid and electric vehicles requires the use of highly efficient power electronics in both the vehicle and in the charging infrastructure. Alongside component efficiency, system layout is particularly important as packaging has many strong influencing factors on the overall efficiency that deserve closer inspection. This and other aspects were the focus of an ATZelektronik interview with Aly Mashaly from Rohm Semiconductor.
Aly Mashaly is Director of European Application and Technical Solution Centers at Rohm near Dusseldorf. Before starting at Rohm in 2015, he gathered more than 20 years of experience in the electronic industry.
