Abstract

The chapter delves into the identification of vibration noise signals in electric power facilities, highlighting the challenges and solutions in the electricity sector of developed countries. It discusses the development of monitoring, identification, and diagnostic systems for existing power facilities, drawing on global experiences and considering the constraints specific to Ukraine. The text explores the physical signal generated during the operation of power engineering objects, justifying the use of vibroacoustic signals for identifying the actual state of power facilities. The structure of levels in electrical equipment and monitoring systems is elaborated, with a focus on the vibroacoustic signal as a comprehensive information resource. The chapter also introduces an equivalent electrical RLC model for vibration noise signals in bearing assemblies and discusses the identification of defects through changes in the vibrational noise signal. Additionally, it presents the Pearson curve system for the identification of vibration noise signals, offering a statistical approach to analyze and smooth empirical data. The PEARSON program, designed for quantitative estimates of diagnostic features, is also highlighted.
