Abstract

The article discusses the challenges of ensuring high-quality AC power from voltage source inverters, especially when connected to nonlinear loads. It introduces an IIR filter-based compensator with a modified feedback repetitive control scheme, designed to overcome the instability issues caused by the undamped nature of the plant. The proposed method includes a measurement filter in the feedback path, which provides the necessary damping without significant power loss. The theoretical analysis and experimental verification demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed compensator in reducing harmonic distortions and improving the overall performance of the inverter. The article concludes by highlighting the advantages of the IIR filter-based approach over existing methods, making it a valuable resource for professionals in the field.
