Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive study on the impact of multifunctional additive packages (MFAPs) on diesel fuel engine power and efficiency. The research focuses on the role of detergent components in enhancing combustion and reducing emissions. Detailed experimental results demonstrate that MFAPs can increase engine power by 1.2–3.9% under various conditions, with the most significant improvements observed at higher loads. The study also highlights the importance of the detergent component in improving fuel-air mixture formation and enhancing combustion efficiency. The findings are supported by a thorough analysis of the combustion process and the mechanism of power increase. This work contributes valuable insights into the potential of MFAPs for reducing emissions and improving engine performance in the context of decarbonization efforts.
