Abstract

The article delves into the impacts of criminalization and censorship on indoor sex workers, particularly those who rely on third-party supports for advertising and client screening. It discusses how end-demand laws and international internet policies hinder open communication with clients and limit the potential benefits of online tools and platforms. The research also highlights the unique challenges faced by racialized and im/migrant sex workers, who are overpoliced and face increased risks of arrest and deportation. The study underscores the need for full decriminalization of sex work and the establishment of safe online spaces for sex workers to enhance their occupational health and safety.
