Abstract

The chapter investigates the pervasive presence of pathogens in indoor environments, highlighting the urgent need for innovative solutions to combat infectious diseases. It introduces the Hossain ultrasonic germicidal frequency (HuGF) technology, which utilizes high-frequency sound waves ranging from 10 kHz to 1 MHz to disrupt the nucleic acids and DNA/RNA structures of pathogens. The text delves into the mathematical modeling of HuGF formation within building walls, explaining how sound frequency dynamics can be controlled to generate these germicidal waves. It also presents experimental results that demonstrate the effectiveness of HuGF in destroying pathogens, including COVID-19, by breaking down their biochemical bonds and inhibiting their replication. The chapter concludes by advocating for the integration of HuGF technology in advanced building design to create pathogen-free indoor spaces, offering a promising solution to enhance public health and safety.
