Abstract

The article delves into advanced Monte Carlo techniques for assessing the impact of distributed generation (DG) on electrical power systems. It highlights the challenges posed by DG integration, particularly in distribution networks, and introduces techniques such as Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS), Quasi-Monte Carlo (QMC), and Importance Sampling (IS) to enhance computational efficiency. A case study using an IEEE feeder is presented, showcasing the application of these methods and their effectiveness in improving simulation results. The article also discusses the limitations and future directions for these techniques, emphasizing the potential for further advancements in handling multidimensional problems.
