Abstract

The article explores the application of real-time mathematical models to enhance the performance and lifespan of blast furnaces. It highlights the development and integration of these models into automatic process control systems, which have significantly improved the efficiency of blast furnaces in the steel industry. The research includes experiments and practical implementations that demonstrate the effectiveness of these models in optimizing smelting conditions, reducing coke consumption, and increasing furnace output. Additionally, the article discusses the use of a two-dimensional mathematical model to control the temperature of smelting products, which is crucial for the durability of the furnace masonry. The findings emphasize the importance of continuous monitoring and optimization of various parameters to achieve the best smelting characteristics and extend the campaign life of blast furnaces.
