Two more car manufacturers, following hard on the heels of Volkswagen, have just presented their electric vehicle strategies. One of them is located in northern Europe and produces premium models, while the other is based further south and aims its products at the more challenging high-volume segment. However, both companies appear to feel that the move is well worthwhile. From 2030, Volvo Cars will supply only fully electric cars. "On our route to becoming a premium manufacturer that from 2030 onward only sells electric models, we want to build the best cars in our 94-year history," said CEO Håkan Samuelsson, as he announced the company's plans at the "Tech Moment" live event in Gothenburg (Germany). …
