Abstract

The article explores the use of a multifunctional epoxy compound, ADR, to enhance the properties of biodegradable poly (lactic acid)/poly (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate) blends through in-situ reaction compatibilization. This method improves both the toughness and stiffness of the blends, making them more suitable for various applications. The study also highlights the enhanced biodegradability and processability of the blends, offering a promising solution to the challenges posed by non-biodegradable synthetic polymers.
