Abstract

This part of the book presents 21 different experience reports of companies implementing part of the software innovation canvas. You will find many examples of how different companies address the practice areas and their activities. They can serve as a source of inspiration for your particular business context.
The experience reports cover a wide range of software organizations, active in different industry sectors. This chapter includes reports from different types of software product builders. For example, the Steria case (section 3.1) illustrates innovation challenges of a project based software builder, whereas the Mobideas case (section 3.2.) zooms in on an out of the box software builder.
Each report addresses a particular innovation challenge of a software organization. They follow a similar structure:
• A description of the innovation challenge.
• Insights in how the company addressed the challenge.
• Where possible, a lessons learned section.
