Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive study on the industrial testing and improvement of technology for purifying and remelting secondary babbits. Babbits, essential for lining sliding bearings, are in high demand in Uzbekistan due to the extensive use of such bearings in compressors, pumps, and other equipment. The lack of domestic babbit production and the need to renew worn-out bearings have driven the development of industrial technology for processing secondary babbits. The research involves evaluating the phase composition and performance properties of babbits, studying phase transformations, and optimizing the processing technology. The findings demonstrate the potential of secondary babbits for renewing sliding bearings, with significant economic benefits. The article highlights the successful application of the improved technology under industrial conditions, showcasing its practical value and potential for widespread adoption in the industry.
