Abstract

The chapter discusses the method of embedding hidden information into space data link protocols using spare values in frame headers. It begins by introducing the concept of information hiding and its importance in ensuring confidentiality and undetectability. The method focuses on manipulating the spare values of specific fields in the frame header, such as the SCID and VCID fields, to transmit hidden information. This approach is highlighted for its excellent transparency, as it does not alter the syntax or semantics of the protocol data, making it difficult for third parties to detect the hidden information. The chapter also analyzes the robustness of this method, demonstrating how it can withstand various types of attacks and the impact of different frame lengths on the success rate of hidden information transmission. Additionally, it discusses the trade-offs between transparency, robustness, and the efficiency of the method, providing a comprehensive analysis of the technique's advantages and limitations.
