Abstract

This chapter examines the effectiveness of Shenzhen's innovation policies on corporate efficiency, focusing on the 'innovation swarm' phenomenon and its impact on over 7000 enterprises. It compares various methods for measuring corporate efficiency, highlighting the challenges and advantages of each. The chapter reveals that medium-sized enterprises exhibit higher innovation efficiency compared to micro and small enterprises, attributing this to factors like internal division of labor and R&D investment. It also explores the spatial differences in enterprise efficiency across Shenzhen's districts, suggesting that spatial reallocation and spillover effects are crucial for future research. The analysis underscores the significance of innovation policies in driving corporate growth and efficiency, providing valuable insights for policymakers and business strategists.
