Abstract

The paper is aimed at reviewing the existing trends of UAV sensors and brings out innovation in the operation of each UAV sensor for increased capability in performance. It is well known that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) play a major role in defense as replacements for manned aircraft tasks such as surveillance, Electronic warfare, reconnaissance and evaluation of the targets of enemy. Besides the defense application, they are pleasingly in demand in civilian application of disaster management. This paper brings out increase in current growth of UAV by research specially in performing different operational missions by the inclusion of imaging and non-imaging sensors. The objective of this research is to prevent the modified versions of the imaging sensors of TV and infrared sensors located in precision painting systems and synthetic aperture radar and non imaging sensor like electronic surveillance and increase their operational capabilities.
