Abstract

The article delves into the mechanism by which nano LiAl-LDHs accelerate the early hydration of sulphoaluminate cement-based materials. It begins by introducing the process of grouting and the importance of sulphoaluminate cement-based grouting materials in various engineering sectors. The challenge of slow hydration rates in these materials is addressed, leading to the exploration of nano LiAl-LDHs as a solution. The study synthesizes nano LiAl-LDHs using a co-precipitation method and investigates their effect on the composition of solids and ions in a semi-permeable membrane. The results show that nano LiAl-LDHs act as crystal nuclei, facilitating the hydration process. Additionally, the release of lithium and carbonate ions from nano LiAl-LDHs plays a significant role in promoting the hydration of sulphoaluminate cement-based materials. The synergistic effects of these ions, along with the crystal nucleus effect, contribute to the enhanced early hydration and improved mechanical properties of the cement-based materials. The findings offer valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying the accelerated hydration, providing a foundation for further advancements in the field of cement-based materials.
