Abstract

Operating highly automated aircraft requires transitioning from automatic to manual control and back. In this process, problems can be caused due to information overload, changes in the operation mode and the pilot’s being exposed to forces in excess of 1 G (Kletz and Amyotte in What went wrong? Nauka, St. Petersburg, 2017 [4]). The existing method for training pilots using cognitive converters of activity algorithms does not take into account the way how pilots control the dynamic characteristics of the aircraft in flight. The article proposes a new method that allows the pilot to develop an integral skill that takes into account both static and dynamic parameters of the aircraft. The relevance of the study stems from the fact that it is vital for pilots to know how to backup automated systems in modern aircraft.
