Abstract

The chapter delves into the transformative potential of Generative AI in product design, particularly when combined with the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). It presents a comprehensive proof-of-concept that utilizes AI to analyze customer reviews, identify product weaknesses, and formulate actionable design problems. By leveraging GEN AI to synthesize product strengths and weaknesses, the study showcases how TRIZ principles can be applied to develop innovative solutions that address critical product design issues. The integration of AI and TRIZ offers a powerful framework for evolutionary product design, enabling designers to iteratively improve products and stay ahead in competitive markets. The chapter also discusses the importance of Main Parameters of Value (MPVs) in product improvement and explores high-impact MPVs that can be introduced to enhance product competitiveness. Overall, the chapter provides a compelling case for the future of AI-driven product design, emphasizing the need for continuous innovation and improvement.
