Abstract

The study investigates the effects of intercropping barley and alfalfa, along with inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), on drought tolerance. It assesses the impact on growth, physiological traits, and antioxidant systems, highlighting the potential of these strategies to enhance crop resilience and productivity under water-limited conditions. The research provides valuable insights into the synergistic effects of intercropping and microbial inoculation, contributing to the development of sustainable agricultural practices.
