Caterpillar Marine Power Systems is developing the MaK M 32 E
DIESEL ENGINE based on its existing M 32 C series. The M 32 E will be rated 550 kW per cylinder at 720 and 750 rpm to give 3300 kW rated inline six cylinder and 4950 kW rated inline nine cylinder versions. Prominent in Caterpillar’s target markets are offshore applications in diesel-electric propulsion and auxiliary applications with multiple engine concepts. Engine deliveries are expected to start in autumn 2014.
