Zusammenfassung

Das Ziel dieses Beitrags besteht in der Identifikation zentraler Forschungsschwerpunkte im Internet der Dinge und deren Einfluss auf Geschäftsmodelle. Hierfür beschreiben wir die Entwicklung des Untersuchungsumfeldes und anschließend die bedeutendsten Forschungsthemen auf Basis einer mathematisch-statistisch gestützten Analyse wissenschaftlicher Publikationen (bibliographische Kopplung). Zusätzlich zu inhaltlichen Aspekten visualisieren wir die zeitliche Entwicklung der Themen innerhalb der letzten Jahre. Die Analyse zeigt, dass insbesondere die Energieeffizienz in Sensornetzwerken, neuartige RFID-Anwendungen, smarte Objekte und cloud-basierte Lösungen eine Schlüsselrolle für die Zukunft des Internets (IoT) der Dinge spielen werden. Für die Unternehmenspraxis ist es von grundlegender Bedeutung, aktuelle Entwicklungen im IoT in die Gestaltung und Neuausrichtung der Geschäftsmodelle unterschiedlichster Unternehmen und Branchen einfließen zu lassen.
