Abstract

The article discusses the critical importance of intrusion detection in UAV networks, which are vulnerable to various attacks. It introduces a novel method based on Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models (DDPM) to enhance intrusion detection performance. Unlike traditional methods, this approach leverages unsupervised learning to reduce the need for extensive manual annotations, making it particularly suitable for UAV networks. The method is validated using the KDDcup99 dataset, demonstrating superior performance in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and AUC compared to other unsupervised methods like seq2seq, VAE, and PCA. The article highlights the potential of DDPM in improving the security and reliability of UAV communications, setting a new benchmark for intrusion detection in resource-constrained environments.
